Description
Exit the Jungbu Expressway at the Deokpyeong tollgate, drive some 2km towards downtown Icheon and to your left is Mt. Dodeuramsan, one of Icheon's most famous mountains. At a height of 234m, the mountain may not be very tall, but the odd-shaped rock surfaces that form its peaks create an exquisite sight that attracts many tourists and mountain-lovers. The mineral water that springs from under the cliff behind Yeongbosa Temple quenches the thirst of hikers with its excellent taste.

Bus: From Dong Seoul Express Bus Terminal, take the Icheon bound bus (depart every 15 minutes from 06:30-21:40). From Gangnam Express Bus Terminal in Seoul, take the Icheon bound Bus (departs every 30 minutes from 06:20-21:20)

Description
Located in Gwango-dong of Icheon City, Mt. Seolbongsan surrounds the city as if to protect it from the outside. While the mountain may not be grand or magnificent, its subtle beauties, the luxuriant woods and strangely shaped rocks around the main peak are definitely worth seeing. On weekends, the hiking trails are packed with tourists wanting to see famous historical sites such as the Yeongwolam Retreat, the site of the Seolbong temple, and the Namcheonjeongji which is the fortress said to have been built by General Kim Yusin as part of his strategy to unify the three dynasties. There's also Seolbong Park which has been designated as the site for the 2001 World Ceramics Expo.

Car: Exit from the Jungbu Expressway at the Gonjiam Tollgate and take state route #3 in the direction of Icheon.
Exit from the Yeongdong Expressway at the Icheon Tollgate and take state route #3 in the direction of Icheon.
